Miha Godec is an adventure sports and lifestyle photographer from Slovenia. Snowboarding, kite boarding, surfing and skateboarding have made a big impact on his life… now add a photo camera, an art college, and a lot of fun and you get the picture.

Miha comes from Slovenia a small European country nestled between old culture of Alps, Italian style and adriatic sea. His father is the largest influence and source of encouragement for his love of adrenaline sports. When Miha was young, he fell in love with snowboarding and skateboarding, then he discovered kite surfing and recently, surfing. Miha’s mother bought him his first serious camera and off he went taking pictures of his friends doing various extreme sports. His travels around Europe and abroad proved to be a great source of inspiration as well.

His photographs have been published in domestic as well as foreign magazines, he photographed for smaller and larger well-known companies, he also has a few smaller exhibitions under his belt. One of Miha’s photos was also selected among top 250 in Red Bull Illume Image Quest, one of the most prestigious photography competition for extreme sports. In 2012 Miha also studied photography abroad at ESAD College of Art in Portugal and later in 2014 he graduated from School of arts at University of Nova Gorica. During his studies he was mentored by some of the best slovenian photographers; Ana Sluga, Tihomir Pinter, Rajko Bizjak, Borut Peterlin and many more. He is a multi talented creative, he shapes his own surfboards, design tees, paints, creates videos and makes gifs.

Currently Miha lives here and there he spends his winters somewhere warm and summers near the ocean but he is always coming back home. Travel, photography and surfing, are some of Mihas greatest passions in his life and they are constantly intertwining. But don’t believe our word, it’s best you meet Miha in person.
